Options PRC is currently hiring an Executive Director.
Objectives of the position:
The executive director is responsible for the day-to-day management of OPRC, including the implementation of the policies and procedures approved by the board of directors, and long-term strategic planning under the direction of the board of directors, within the parameters of the operating budget. Primary areas of responsibility are administrative, organizational development and community relations.
Reports to: The Board of Directors
Directly Supervises: Clinic Director, Director of Marketing & Development, Executive Assistant
Indirectly Supervises: All additional staff
Required Qualifications: Applicant should:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates active involvement in a local church
- Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life
- Manage and uphold all policies and procedures of the organization
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the mission, vision, and core values statements
- Have a bachelor’s degree
- Direct experience in hiring and supervising paid staff in a professional setting
- Have strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, facilitating meetings, writing and effective media relations
- Be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and encouragement for staff members and volunteers
- Understand budget and compliance requirements for a nonprofit organization
- Oversee fund raising activities as set forth in the annual development calendar
- Ability to work periodic evenings and weekends associated with events and outreach
Preferred Qualifications: Applicant would:
- Have experience in leading a nonprofit organization
- Have experience in grant writing for a nonprofit organization
- Have at least three years of experience as an employee or volunteer in a Christian ministry
Essential Functions:
Overseeing the Organization:
- Plan, manage, and direct the workflow of staff including assigning tasks, task deadlines, and coaching staff and volunteer performance.
- Perform administrative and personnel functions of hiring, training, discipline and discharge of staff.
- Assure the completion of yearly paid staff performance evaluations.
- Develop the annual budget in collaboration with the board of directors.
- Oversee and ensure accurate and current financial records are kept and reported to the board.
- Ensure external controls are in place and followed.
- Oversee the compilation of statistical records of patients and report them to the board and affiliated organizations.
- Ensure that all center policies and procedures are carried out, and that additions, deletions and changes to the policies and procedures manual are made, as needed.
- Attend all board meetings and present status report and organizational metrics.
- With the board of directors, produce and maintain a current strategic planning document outlining short and long-term goals.
Overseeing Development:
- Cultivate new and existing donor relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with valued community partners.
- Develop and oversee the annual event calendar for the ministry.
- Seek public speaking opportunities to spread awareness of Options.
- Represent the Organization to the media and in public forums.
- Oversee marketing efforts used to promote the Organization to patients and the community-at-large.
